Audrey Hamilton has been an abstract, digital, photographer for the past 7+ years.
She uses Nikon cameras and is currently shooting with the mirrorless Nikon Z7ii. Her early work focused on unique patterns of tree branches in forests and swamplands. Most recently, she has been creating stacked image collages of leaf patterns, branches, and moving water. Adding the water into the images has become her signature touch. She does all her raw image editing with Lightroom and Photoshop.
Another signature component of Audrey’s work is her use of metallic paper for printing. She loves the idea of adding a little sparkle to her nature images. And the paper gives her Black and White pieces the look of an old Tin Type photograph which is unique.
When not creating abstracts; Audrey offers portrait sessions and loves collaborating on dramatic photo shoots for the empowerment of women. She is proud of her safe and welcoming place for
everyone and loves celebrating their uniqueness.
Audrey grew up on a 20-acre farm and in Endfield, NY. The forest and pond were her playground, and she has loved exploring marshy environments. Audrey always knew she was creative, and she has recognized that her classical ballet and Suzuki violin training, have shaped her photography work. It wasn’t until her adult life, that she connected with her passion for photography, as a way of healing from the passing of her mom.
