Deborah Dougherty Wester

Deborah Dougherty Wester is a painter and Cazenovia resident. She studied Fine Arts at St. Michael's College in Vermont, attended classes at the Art Students League in NYC, and completed many workshops. 

Apprenticed for ten years with master painter Genevieve Redmond, Deborah has had many solo and group shows, been represented in galleries, and is a member of CWS, Cazenovia Watercolor Society, and MAP, Mountain Air Painters. Her work is displayed at Cazenovia Artisans where she has been a member since 2009.

"Inspiration and beauty are everywhere. I am fascinated with nature and

the serenity in rural life. The sweeping landscapes, with their rolling hills

and pastoral farms, offer tranquil settings to capture. I see cows grazing,

corn and oat fields, a variety of cloud formations and idyllic lakes. I feel

compelled to capture and express this environment where I live."
